These days, it’s considered risky to an actor’s career to express any kind of conservative opinion. Especially when it comes to abortion. Liberals rule Hollywood. So it was a surprise this week when actress Patricia Heaton, best known for starring on the award-winning sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond”, bravely spoke out to slam Democrats for their “barbaric” stance on abortion.
Patricia Heaton Slams Democrats On Abortion
“I don’t understand why pro-life people want to know if they are ‘welcome’ to join the democrat party [sic],” Heaton tweeted yesterday. “Why would any civilized person want to support a barbaric platform that champions abortion for any reason through all nine months funded by taxpayers?”

The issue of abortion has been in the news more than usual in the past few weeks. The is likely to continue as the race for the Democratic presidential nomination heats up.
The official Democratic platform is vague about abortion. The party talks about protecting access to abortion without detailing any restrictions.
“We believe unequivocally, like the majority of Americans, that every woman should have access to quality reproductive health care services, including safe and legal abortion—regardless of where she lives, how much money she makes, or how she is insured,” the platform states.

Democrats For Life Leader Confronts Pete Buttigieg
Last month, Democrats For Life leader Kristen Day confronted Pete Buttigieg on abortion. She asked the 2020 Democrat if there is any room for someone who is pro-life in the modern Democratic Party.
“The Democratic platform contains language that basically says, ‘We don’t belong, we have no part in the party because it says abortion should be legal up to nine months, the government should pay for it,'” she said.
Buttigieg effectively said that there was not room for pro-life Democrats in the party. A comment that he was later called out for by Meghan McCain on “The View”. The conservative cohost pointedly asked the Democrat if he supports infanticide.
“I just know that I trust her and her decision medically or morally isn’t going to be any better because the government is commanding her to do it in a certain way,” Buttigieg responded.

Buttigieg Gets More Backlash
Live Action Founder Lila Rose pointed out that this response opens the door for partial-birth abortion.
“He said as long as a mother wants to abort a baby, at any age, she should be able to [e]ven if that means partially delivering a full-grown, 7 lb infant, who can recognize her mother’s voice, & then stabbing her neck & suctioning out her brain,” she tweeted.
Patricia Heaton knew full well that she’d get tons of backlash when she publicized her views on abortion. But the 61-year-old actress still did so anyway.
More people need to start calling out Democrats for their abortion stance. That’s the only way to stop them. And together we can save the lives of innocent unborn babies.
