Operation Varsity Blues, the documentary about the infamous college admissions scandal that put actresses like Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman in jail, is set to premiere on Netflix today. It will cover the FBI investigation that uncovered a scheme to fraud elite colleges around the nation.

With the documentary dropping in the next few hours, a source has come forward to say that Loughlin is “very concerned” about it. Check out a trailer for Operation Varsity Blues below.

Loughlin ‘Concerned’ About Netflix Documentary

The source told Entertainment Tonight that Loughlin, 56, is eager to move on with her life and is trying to “focus on the positive” ahead of the debut of the Netflix documentary.

That being said, according to the source she is “concerned” about how the documentary will impact her already-trashed reputation.

“She wants nothing more than for time to pass so people won’t be talking about the college scandal anymore,” the insider said.

Loughlin had a lucrative career in Hollywood, rising to fame on the sitcom “Full House.”

She also starred in the Netflix spin-off “Fuller House.”

And, she had a successful career in the Hallmark Channel’s wholesome television movies.

Loughlin’s College Admissions Scandal

Everything changed for Loughlin when she became embroiled in the college admissions scandal.

She and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli were hit with charges in 2019 related to them allegedly paying $500,000 in bribe money to the University of Southern California. They had attempted to get their two daughters admitted to USC as members of the crew team. However, neither girl had ever rowed before.

After claiming their innocence and fighting the charges for over a year, the couple took plea deals in 2020. Loughlin was sentenced to two months in jail and Giannulli to five.

Loughlin completed her sentence at the end of December, and Giannulli is set to be released from jail in April.

“Lori has missed Mossimo while he’s been away,” the source said. “She is looking forward to him coming home to have some semblance of a normal life.”

Lori’s Life Today

The insider added, that these days, Loughlin is just “is just so relieved to be home” with her daughters Bella, 22, and Olivia Jade, 21.

She’s also eager to get back to work, assuming anyone in Hollywood will hire her.

“She’s spending a lot of time with them. They’re all on the same page in that they are all ready to move on. She’s so incredibly proud of her daughters’ abilities to get past this, and she’s thrilled they’ve been volunteering and helping in the community,” the source said. “Lori is also excited to work again.”

“Lori’s been offered many opportunities to open up about what she has been through, but she can’t seem to find the right words,” added the insider. “She fears no matter what she says, people can’t get past this. At this point, she just wants to move forward and focus on the positive.”

This Documentary Is Loughlin’s Worst Nightmare

It’s safe to say that this Netflix documentary Operation Varsity Blues is Loughlin’s worst nightmare. The college admissions scandal had seemingly finally just started to fall out of the headlines.

But, this will undoubtedly rehash everything again, pushing Loughlin back into the spotlight.

If Loughlin is eager to work again, she might want to find a new job entirely.

Given how deadly cancel culture is in Hollywood right now, it’s difficult to imagine anyone hiring Loughlin for an acting gig anytime soon.
