Global superstar Justin Bieber really stepped in it this week when he publicly praised the music of embattled country star Morgan Wallen. Bieber’s simple “Love this album” post sparked a veritable firestorm since Wallen cancelled earlier this year after video circulated of him using a racial slur.
The pop star quickly tried to extricate himself from the quicksand with an apology to anyone he “offended”.

Fox News reported that Bieber took to his Instagram Story on Wednesday in a post that has since been deleted to post a screenshot of Wallen’s “Sand In My Boots” from “Dangerous: The Double Album,” writing “Love this album,” alongside it.
Bieber quickly deleted the post and issued an apology in its place.
“I had no idea that the guy’s music i posted was recently found saying racist comments,” Bieber wrote. “As you know i dont support or tolerate any sort of racism or discrimination. I had no idea, I sincerely apologize to anyone i offended.”

Justin Bieber Admits Using N-Word
Bieber went on to acknowledge that he has used the n-word himself in the past.
“When I was a kid, I was incredibly ignorant and said some very hurtful racist jokes that clearly were not funny,” he added. “I hurt a lot of people especially the Black people in my life but was fortunate enough to have had them educate me on the horrifying origin of the n-word. This brings those painful memories back up, I will always take ownership for my ignorance and my past because I know I am not that person.”
Wallen was denounced by his record label, radio stations, and awards shows after he was caught on video saying the n-word following a drunken night out with friends.
“I was around some of my friends and we say dumb stuff together. In our minds it’s playful, you know?” Wallen, 28, said last month. “That sounds ignorant, but that’s really where it came from. And it’s wrong.”

Morgan Morgan Wallen Goes To Rehab
Wallen went on to say that he checked himself into rehab in the wake of this scandal.
“I went and checked myself into rehab for 30 days,” he said. “I spent some time out in San Diego, California, just trying to figure it out. Why am I acting this way?”

Wallen knows that he was wrong to use the racial slur and he’s taken steps to better himself. The young country star not only owned up to his actions but sought help and donated proceeds from his album sales.
But no punishment is ever enough for the social media mob. They don’t care that he’s apologized or taken steps to grow.
It’s ridiculous that Justin Bieber or anyone would be drug through the mud simply for enjoying Morgan Wallen’s music all these months later.
Forgiveness is important, and it’s time that we as a society forgive Morgan Wallen. Enough is enough.
