Aldean On Daughter Potentially Dating Underwood’s Son

Aldean’s daughter Navy is 3 years old, which is the same age as Underwood’s son Jacob. When Entertainment Tonight pointed out that Navy and Jacob could be the next big couple in the country music world, Aldean joked that his daughter will never be allowed to date.

“That’s probably accurate, yeah,” he quipped.

Aldean’s wife Brittany, however, pointed out that Navy already “does what she wants,” and her husband agreed that their little girl is quite strong-willed.

“Yeah, I don’t know if I am going to have much say in that,” Aldean said of Navy’s future dating experiences. “We will see, she is pretty strong-headed, you know what I mean?”

Aldean Talks Collaborating With Underwood

Aldean later got serious when he talked about what it was like to collaborate with Underwood on their new award-winning song.

“It’s been great, I mean this song has been, you know, a big song obviously for us all year,” he said. “I had the idea for this song and to bring her in on it and it’s nice when you have a plan and it works out.”

“It’s been a huge song this year, got nominated for three awards here and even a GRAMMY for this, so it’s been a big one and she’s been great,” Aldean continued. “I have had a chance to perform it now a few times together and it’s always fun.”

Aldean Was ‘Scared’ For Underwood

Last night’s performance of “If I Didn’t Love You” was one to remember, as it began with Underwood descending from the ceiling in a metal chair that looked like something out of a circus!

Aldean admitted afterwards that he was “scared” for her when it came time to perform this stunt.

“I was scared for her, actually,” he admitted, according to Taste of Country. “When we came to rehearsals, I knew she was coming from the ceiling, but I was like, ‘Where’s she sitting?’ And they showed me this little bitty seat. I went to her and said, ‘Man, I’m glad you’re doing this and not me, because I would have tapped out.’ She’s a trooper for sure.”

Check out that full performance below.

Aldean and Underwood are two of the most popular figures in country music right now, so it’s nice to see them collaborate while also being such good friends behind the scenes! We can’t wait to see where their respective careers take each of them next.
