The highly anticipated premiere of the “Yellowstone” prequel “1923” is just a few days away, with it being set to drop on Paramount + on Sunday. In anticipation of the show airing, star Harrison Ford is opening up about the big “secret” behind his decades-long career in Hollywood.

Ford’s ‘Secret’ To His Success
When asked by Fox News what the “secret” to his success is, Ford replied, “Other people. Other people working with people who are accomplished in their areas.”
“I mean, the range of directors I’ve had the opportunity to work with certainly has been extraordinary,” the 80 year-old former Star Wars star continued.
Ford went on to show how humble he is by talking about how he got his start in the entertainment world.
“I’ve been very, very lucky,” Ford admitted. “I came up in the business when the movie business was so closely connected to the culture, and we had such an influence on culture.”
“It was really a very good time for the movie business, and some of the giants of the movie business were still working,” he explained. “I had the opportunity to work with people like [Alan J.] Pakula and Sydney Pollack and Peter Weir and many others at a time when movies were flourishing.”

‘I Still Enjoy Working’
Despite his age, Ford does not seem to plan to retire anytime soon, and he loved working on “1923.”
“I still enjoy working, and I still enjoy telling stories,” he said. “Taylor Sheridan is certainly one of those people that is the most extraordinary talents of our current time, and I’m having a really good time doing this.”
Ford agreed to star in “1923” before he even read the script, with the opportunity to work with Dame Helen Mirren again being one of the “real draws” for him. They’d previously worked together nearly 40 years ago on the thriller The Mosquito Coast, and they were eager to work together onscreen for a second time.

Ford And Mirren On Marriage
Ford and Mirren portray the married couple Jacob and Cara Dutton on the show, and they said that their own respective marriages helped them to do this well.
“It’s a partnership, isn’t it?” Mirren told Entertainment Tonight last week. “I may be the boss, but he’s the leader. It’s an equal partnership and I know from being with my husband [Taylor Hackford]. We’ve been married now for, I’ve completely forgotten how long we’ve been married for. But, you know, quite a long time.”
Mirren and Hackford, who is an Academy Award-winning director, have been married for 25 years.
“It becomes a partnership, a partnership with love, but a partnership and that’s very much where marriage can be a long process and it has many phases that it goes through,” she continued. “But if you manage to stay together through love, you come to this very beautiful place where it is this equal partnership and I think that’s where Cara and Jacob are.”

Ford Agrees
Ford, who has been married to the former “Ally McBeal” star Calista Flockhart since 2010, agreed with Mirren on this.
“I suppose it helps, but I found working with Helen to be extraordinarily easy, simple, straightforward,” he explained. “There’s no fussiness about her. She’s a practical person. She’s a down-to-earth person. She’s very smart, very astute and she knows her craft. Our scenes have been nothing but a pleasure.”
