Dolly Parton Pays Tribute To A Country Music Legend

After Charlie Daniels passed away in July of 2020, none other than the legendary miss Dolly Parton herself was one of the first people to pay tribute.

“Well, the devil went down to Georgia, but Charlie went straight to heaven,” Parton said at the time, according to Taste Of Country. “My heart, like many millions of others, is broken today to find out that we’ve lost our dear friend Charlie Daniels. It was such a shock. He was one of the great people in the business and one of the greatest entertainers ever. He will live on in our hearts. Rest in peace, Charlie.”

We can’t wait to enjoy Charlie Daniels’ music once again later this month! There will never be another one like him.
