Yesterday, we reported that New Orleans Saints all star quarterback Drew Brees felt the need to issue a lengthy apology less than 24 hours after he said he would never agree with football players taking a knee during the national anthem. Now, a clearly desperate Drew Brees is at it again with a second apology, this time on video, as the liberal mob escalates their attempts to ‘cancel’ him for daring to take a stand for our anthem and the American flag.
Drew Brees Is Back With A Video Apology
For this apology, Brees decided to make a video to post to Instagram so that people could “see in my eyes how sorry I am.”
“I know that it hurt many people,” Brees said. “That was never my intention. I wish I would have laid out what was on my heart in regards to the George Floyd murder, Ahmaud Arbery, the years and years of social injustice, police brutality and the need for so much reform and change in regard to legislation and so many other things to bring equality to our black communities.”
“I’m sorry. I will do better and I will be a part of the solution. I am your ally. I know no words will do that justice, that’s going to have to be…” he adds before the video abruptly ends.
Drew Brees Defends National Anthem
All Hell has broken loose for Brees simply because he told Yahoo Finance on Wednesday that as someone who comes from a military family, he can never support people taking a knee during our country’s national anthem.

“Let me just tell what I see or what I feel when the national anthem is played and when I look at the flag of the United States,” Brees said. “I envision my two grandfathers, who fought for this country during World War II, one in the Army and one in the Marine Corp. Both risking their lives to protect our country and to try to make our country and this world a better place.”
“So every time I stand with my hand over my heart looking at that flag and singing the national anthem, that’s what I think about,” he added. “And in many cases, that brings me to tears, thinking about all that has been sacrificed.”
Cancel Cultures Hits NFL QB
Backlash against Brees was swift, with famous and non-famous liberals alike taking to Twitter to effectively demand the superstar QB’s head on a platter:
WOW MAN!! ??♂️. Is it still surprising at this point. Sure isn’t! You literally still don’t understand why Kap was kneeling on one knee?? Has absolute nothing to do with the disrespect of ?? and our soldiers(men and women) who keep our land free. My father-in-law was one of those https://t.co/pvUWPmh4s8

The only apology I’ll accept from Drew Brees @drewbrees is him asking for @Kaepernick7 as his backup QB. Utilize your voice there.

Drew Brees’ First Apology
Brees issued his first apology on Thursday morning.
“In an attempt to talk about respect, unity, and solidarity centered around the American flag and the national anthem, I made comments that were insensitive and completely missed the mark on the issues we are facing right now as a country,” Brees wrote.
“They lacked awareness and any type of compassion or empathy. Instead, those words have become divisive and hurtful and have misled people into believing that somehow I am an enemy,” he added. “This could not be further from the truth, and is not an accurate reflection of my heart or my character.”
Memo to Drew Brees:
Never apologize, and never cave to the mob. You’ll never appease them no matter what you do.
If Colin Kaepernick can stand for what he believes in without apologizing, then by God so can you.

Of course, the mainstream media isn’t helping the issue with reports like ‘Why Drew Brees Apology Missed The Mark‘.
In the end, the very radical leftists who Brees is trying to appease with his apologies will never be satisfied. They will not accept his apology and so he should stop with that right now.

There was absolutely nothing wrong with the initial comments he made defending our anthem and our flag.
So it’s disheartening to see the accomplished NFL player continue to apologize and cater to the very radicals who seem hellbent on destroying not just his career but also America as we know it.
