Today would have been the 66th birthday of the late “Full House” star Bob Saget, who tragically died suddenly back in January after suffering head trauma during a fall in a Florida hotel room.
To mark this occasion, Saget’s “Full House” daughter Candace Cameron Bure took to social media to pay tribute to him.
‘I Miss You’
“I miss you,” Bure wrote alongside a photo of herself and Saget. “Do I still say happy birthday? I don’t know how this works, but I’m celebrating you today however badly my heart hurts.”

Bure has been open about how difficult Saget’s death has been for her to deal with, telling People Magazine weeks after he passed that “there are good days and there are really hard days, and I’m doing okay. I think we all are, but each day it feels a little better.”
She went on to say that she’s gone about the mourning process by “talking to my friends, talking to Kelly [Rizzo, Bob’s widow], talking to my ‘Full House’ family.”
“The good thing is, we all want to keep his legacy alive, so I want to talk about Bob,” she added. “I want to share things about Bob and share about the laughs and the good times, and that part feels comforting.”

However, Bure went on to say scenes from shows that Saget was on are too much for her to bear right now.
“I can’t watch the shows yet,” she said. “It’s hard for me to hear his voice. It makes me sad. So, the comforting [part] is remembering the good times and laughing and telling stories and thinking, ‘Oh, Bob would’ve said this,’ or ‘Bob would’ve made this joke.’ That feels really good.”

Saget’s Widow Speaks Out
Kelly Rizzo, Saget’s widow, also paid tribute to him on social media.
“Happy birthday my Love,” Rizzo wrote. “These pictures and videos were taken exactly 1 year ago in Mexico. We always celebrated our birthdays together with a trip. (His is the 17th and mine is 19th). This last trip was so special.”
“We both celebrated each other so big,” she added. “You never know when something is going to be ‘the last’ time. But I’m so grateful that he was showered with all of the love he deserves.”
Rizzo went on to address her husband’s millions of beloved fans.
“I pray he can see all of the love he’s already getting from around the world today,” Rizzo said. “Honey, everyone loves you so damn much. Everyone wants you to know how important and special you are on your special day, and we ALL celebrate you. You are one of a kind and you certainly made my world go ’round.”
‘I Love You More Than Anything’
“I love you more than anything and miss you every minute,” she concluded. “Your girls and I will hold on tight to each other today. And I know you’d want me to get a martini tonight, so I’ll oblige. Happy birthday, honey.”
