Antonio Sabato Jr., who was once a successful actor in Hollywood, spoke out this week to expose how supporting President Donald Trump in 2016 destroyed his career and got him blacklisted. The former Calvin Klein model and onscreen heartthrob known for starring roles on “General Hospital” and “Melrose Place” has been denied representation by his former managers and forced out of Hollywood.

Antonio Sabato Jr. Blacklisted By Hollywood For Supporting Trump

“I had to sell everything,” Sabato told Variety as he opened up about how his career was impacted after he endorsed Trump. “I had to pay all my debts. I was blacklisted. All my representatives left me, from agents to managers to commercial agents. I literally had to move, find a new job to survive and take care of my kids.”

“It’s been terrible. It’s mind-blowing. It’s a disgrace,” added Sabato, 48. “It’s tough, because if you’re in that environment in Hollywood and you have something to say that they don’t like, they’re going to let you know.”

Back in July of 2016, Sabato was one of the few celebrities to speak up for Trump at the Republican National Convention.

“I was the first celebrity to come out and talk about the president, and he had my vote from day one,” Sabato explained. “I was the first one to say he was going to win. My integrity is intact. What I believe in is still intact. What doesn’t break you makes you stronger – that’s what they say. So I’m stronger than ever, and I didn’t have to lie about who I am.”

Sabato Moves To Florida – Works In Construction

After endorsing Trump, Sabato tried unsuccessfully to run for Congress in 2018, losing to Rep. Julia Brownley, D-Calif. Afterwards, he moved to Florida, where he now works in construction.

“I’m on the ground,” Sabato said. “I go on the job at two in the morning, and I’m making sure that the job is controlled and supervised by me. I’m in the car all day, driving, going through all the sites. Five days a week, nonstop.”

Sabato also indicated that there are other Trump supporters in the entertainment world who are too afraid to publicly support him because of the effect it will have on their careers.

“I know a lot of actors who are lying about who they’re going to vote for because they don’t want the crap,” he said. “They won’t want to be talked about and fired from movie sets. This is serious.”

Blacklisted For Supporting President

In one instance, Sabato was specifically told that he had not gotten a job because he supports Trump.

“I was talking to a distribution company about producing a film that was set to go, and they told me to my face, ‘We will never distribute a movie with you in it because of your affiliation with the president,’” he recalled. “The reality is the power that makes movies happen in Hollywood – casting directors, producers, executive producers, directors – they’re all liberal. They hate anyone or anything who supports this president.”

Despite everything that has happened to him, Sabato still has hope that he can resurrect his career in entertainment.

“I always hope there’s some serious people out there that want to hire me for my talent,” he stated. “I rarely talked politics on sets anyway. That’s the last thing I want to do.”

Antonio Sabato Jr. Still Publicly Supports Trump

When asked if he will still support Trump in November, the Italian-American actor and model replied, “Of course.”

“The country is doing fantastic. I think he’ll be elected by 100 million votes,” Sabato added.

If this kind of blacklisting happened to liberals in Hollywood, there would be mass outrage. And the American public would never hear the end of it.

However, since it’s happening to conservatives, the mainstream media is silent. They turn a blind eye because the liberal media feels that the Trump-supporting celebrities are getting what they deserve.

This is yet another example of the hypocrisy and closed-mindedness of the modern left. They can blacklist and shame conservatives all they want. But, it won’t stop conservatives for doing what’s right come November.
