WWE always does a lot to show their appreciation for those who have served our country. On Veterans Day weekend, WWE broadcasts Tribute To the Troops, a star-studded show for members of the military and their families. 

WWE’s commitment to the troops doesn’t end there. Several members of the WWE roster proudly served. Many are on the roster right now.

Bobby Lashley 


The Almighty Lashley came from a military family. He followed his father’s footsteps and joined the Army, where we served for three years. During his time as a soldier, Lashley continued his outstanding amateur wrestling career as part of the Army’s World Class Athlete Program

Lacey Evans

Evans served five years in the Marines in the Special Reaction Team, which is the military equivalent of SWAT. Evans is proud of her time as a Marine and regularly integrates military insignia into her ring outfits.

Montez Ford 

Before becoming the most entertaining tag wrestler in the game, Ford was a Marine who served his country with honor. Ford’s time in the military helped him become the man he is today.

I chose the Marines because at that point in time, my mother and my family were going through a few complications and I didn’t want the burden of having to worry about me on them. I took on the pleasure of going and serving my country for four years and I think it was the best decision I’ve made to date.

Jaxon Ryker

Ryker, known as Gunner in TNA, served as a lance corporal in the Marines, seeing time in Iraq. Ryker regularly uses his military career motivation for his career and character
