WWE Hell In A Cell featured titles decided, several gimmick matches and Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins finishing their feud inside the Cell.
WWE Hell In A Cell Report Card 2022: Grades Are In From Illinois!
Handicap Match: Bobby Lashley vs Omos & MVP
Fans do not like Omos, so WWE paired him with MVP to improve his in-ring skills. They still need work, but he only needs a few spots because his size sells.
An interesting match as MVP needed to do more than wrestle. He needed to teach Omos how to react with the live crowd.
Omos spearing Bobby Lashley through the barricade was a cool spot. Otherwise, nothing too great and hopefully the feud is over. Grade: C

Kevin Owens vs Ezekiel
Not long ago, Kevin Owens wrestled Steve Austin in the main event of WrestleMania 38. Now, he is working with Ezekiel.
It is not a knock on Ezekiel as he has done great since dropping the Elias gimmick. Although, it feels like a major downgrade for Owens.
Nothing wrong with the action inside the ring. The biggest takeaway was Owens winning, but Ezekiel looked more intense than ever. Grade: B

No Holds Barred Match: Madcap Moss vs Happy Corbin
When WWE reintroduced Madcap Moss, it did not seem special. He had strange attire, told awful jokes and was great friends with Baron Corbin.
The partnership was never going to last and Happy Corbin staying heel was best for business. I do not know what it is, but fans love to hate Happy Corbin.
The No Holds Barred Match stipulation helped as a regular singles match would not have the fans interested. Madcap Moss, who needs a better name, scored the win and looks to be getting at least a minor push. Grade: B

United States Championship: Theory vs Mustafa Ali
What an interesting pair of wrestlers in the match. Theory is Vince McMahon’s new favorite and Mustafa Ali, who keeps requesting his release.
Ali is the more talented wrestler, but Vince sees something in Theory. Unlike their RAW match, this one was better.
Ali had no chance, despite having the Chicago crowd 100% behind him. I feel like WWE is waiting for SummerSlam to book Theory vs John Cena. Grade: B+

Liv Morgan, Finn Balor & AJ Styles vs Rhea Ripley Damian Priest & Edge
I have to say, The Judgement Day might be the best stable and angle in going now in WWE. Heading into the match, many wondered if someone would join the stable.
Edge has been playing games for weeks, hinting that each member could join. There was a rumor of Finn Balor, but Edge mentioned him and then I do no clue.
What a great match and everyone came out looking stronger. These six need to keep going for the rest of the summer. Grade: A-

RAW Women’s Championship: Bianca Belair vs Asuka vs Becky Lynch
These three have all competed against each other and the results are usually great. Of course, they did not disappoint and set the tone for the rest of the card in a fun affair.
I liked how they produced the triple threat match. We saw a little of everything, including moves designed for only one competitor.
Bianca Belair seemed like the obvious choice to win. Becky Lynch was been champion for long enough and Asuka just returned from a lengthy absence. Grade: A-

Hell In A Cell Match: Cody Rhodes vs Seth Rollins
With such a limited roster, WWE only booked one Hell In A Cell Match. Usually, they have at least two and even add a gimmick.
Heading into the match, Cody Rhodes unfortunately tore his pec and he still went out there with the grotesque injury. His pec looked horrific and I do not know how anyone could wrestle in that shape.
Before WWE Hell In A Cell, Rhodes was up two wins to Rollins’ zero. Credit to Cody, who ran on emotion, but WWE should have tossed an audible because that was unnecessary and dangerous. Grade: A-
