-WWE is having issues getting Halloween Havoc trademarked. While fans may be hopeful that such efforts are tied to a revival of the October WCW PPV, for now efforts appear focused on archival content. PWInsider and other sources have reported that WWE has been denied thus far for several reasons, among them being an earlier filing by another company for the same trademark.
While the classic WCW Halloween Havoc footage will be great to see, and highlight DVDs and Network packages will be welcomed, I know there are plenty of wrestling fans who would love to see the PPV itself return. With WWE reviving (sort of) Starrcade, there is hope that, in some fashion or another, they might revive other defunct WCW properties. Halloween Havoc could be a great replacement for the October PPV.
Also it’s worth noting that WWE did not have a traditional featured PPV in October of 2018. Hell In A Cell took place in September. Then for October, programming was focused on the Australian Super Show-Down and the first ever women’s PPV Evolution. Also, hype was focused on the controversial Crown Jewel event from Saudi Arabia.
So far, WWE has not announced the full slate of 2019 PPVs. While there are rumors of another Evolution PPV, nothing has been confirmed. For now, nothing has been announced for October, so there’s a possibility Havoc could be in the mix.
-It seems like marriage is in the air for a number of WWE talents. We recently reported that 205 Live’s Akira Tozawa got married. Also, Riott Squad member Sarah Logan married NXT’s Rowe, one half of War Raiders.
Now, NXT UK Superstar Wolfgang is getting ready to join the club. PWInsider reported that, over the weekend, Wolfgang got engaged at a hockey game.
