Has the WWE Universe seen the last of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in a WWE ring? He put on quite a show in the main event, night one, at this past WrestleMania 38. A new report has surfaced that reveals Austin may have “one more match” in him.

Steve Austin – One More WWE Match

According to Fightful, the WWE has made Steve Austin an offer to wrestle another match. The report does not indicate who Stone Cold’s opponent would be.

The report also doesn’t clarify where Austin’s match would take place. However, the source “assumes” the WWE is trying to get Stone Cold for a match at WrestleMania 39.

More On Steve Austin & His “One More WWE Match” Deal

The Fightful report also reveals that the WWE and Stone Cold were “far apart” when it came to a deal, at one point. With that said, they are hoping Austin will work with them more.

Interestingly enough, the report also states that before Vince McMahon retired, he too, wanted Austin in the ring for another bout. Will fans see SCSA back in that squared circle, soon?

That’s hard to say. Although, speculation around an SCSA in-ring return among fans has increased lately.

Especially after Austin posted a video of himself working out, on social media. He looked in tremendous shape, and “ready” to compete.

Simply put, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is one of the GOATs of professional wrestling. He was with the WWE from 1995 to 2003, but left in-ring competition and retired early due to injury.

Over the years he was with the company, he “did it all”. WWE Champion (six times), Intercontinental Champion (two times), WWE Tag Champ (four times), 1996 King of the Ring, and Royal Rumble winner in 1997, 1998, and 2001.

Meanwhile, there’s news about Stone Cold’s WM 38 opponent, Kevin Owens. Sounds like he suffered an injury recently.

Kevin Owens Injury Update

Reports have surfaced stating that KO  suffered an MCL sprain this past Sunday night. It occurred during a Madison, Wisconsin WWE house show.

The bad news is, Kevin will likely miss out on the 2022 Survivor Series. The good news is that it seems as if Owens may not be out of action for that long, and could return just in time for the 2023 Royal Rumble.

Kevin Owens’ Projected MCL Sprain Recovery Timeline

As per Sports Injury Physio, this type of injury generally heals in about four to six weeks. If an athlete suffers a severe ligament tear, the recovery time could be 12 weeks+.

It’s undeniable that Kevin Owens was on a roll right before his injury. It’s clear that Triple H has some big plans for his Prize Fighter.

Here’s hoping his recovery goes smoothly and quickly. If Owens can be ready to dive back into action during the Road to WrestleMania season, it would be perfect timing.

Kevin Owens has had quite the WWE career since he joined the company in 2014. He’s been NXT Champion, Universal Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and U.S. Champion.

What’s next for Kevin Owens? Only time will tell.
