Conor McGregor makes a lot of bold proclamations before entering the Octagon. This time, he has actual proof.
Forbes declared the former UFC champion as the highest-paid athlete for 2021.
McGregor topped the charts by earning a total of $180 million over the past year.
Much of that came from his decision to part with a majority share of his Proper No. 12 whiskey for $150 million.
“Notorious” made a total of $158 million outside of competing through his endorsements with the likes of DraftKings and Roots of Fight.
He is one of just three to make over $70 million while still actively competing alongside Roger Federer and Tiger Woods.
Back in January, McGregor made a reported $22 million for his bout with Dustin Poirier.
The two are set for a third encounter this July.
Conor McGregor was the only combat sports athlete to make the list which includes the likes of LeBron James, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady and Lionel Messi.
