People Feel For Alec Baldwin After Video Shows His Wife Snapping At Him: ‘When I’m Talking, You’re Not Talking’

We don’t often feel bad for Alec Baldwin. However, it’s hard not to have at least some sympathy for him after watching this viral clip of a shocking exchange that he just had with his wife Hilaria.

Hilaria Snaps At Alec

On March 11, Alec, 66, and Hilaria, 41, attended Planet Hollywood’s reopening in New York City. There, they were asked about the future of their family’s TLC reality television show The Baldwins. It didn’t take long for things to take a very awkward turn from there.

“It’s gonna be great,” Alec said. “You’re a winner.”

This was surprisingly enough to make Hilaria snap.

“Oh, my God,” she exclaimed. “When I’m talking, you’re not talking. No. When I’m talking, you’re not talking.”

Not stopping there, Hilaria went on to say that this was “why [she’d] have to just cut him out of the show.”

‘You’re Annoying Me’

Meanwhile, in this same interview, Hilaria claimed that Alec’s moments of “trying to make [things] silly” get cut from their reality TV series. She also accused Alec of “distracting” her when he asked about the “Spanish word for essential” as she discussed the “routine” that she has with their seven young children.

“Now you’re just doing that. Like, why? Why are you distracting me?” Hilaria questioned.

Alec tried to defend himself by saying that he was “captivated by [her] beauty.” Hilaria, however, ignored him, yet he continued to stammer, “You’re so beautiful.”

“Oh, my God, stop,” Hilaria fired back at him. “You’re annoying me. Stop. It’s not cute. No, it’s distracting me.”

Alec seemed to try to mouth something else to Hilaria about her “beauty,” but this only appeared to irritate her even more.

“I’m going to, like, walk out of this interview right now,” Hilaria said.

Yet it was Alec who stepped away. Instead of going after him, Hilaria went on with the interview, saying, “Let me go back. It’s all about routine. Every day we strive to be boring, and then un-boring things happen to us as they do with seven children.”

Yikes.

Social Media Responds

Social media users made it clear that they were very disturbed by this exchange. Indeed, even many people who are not fans of Alec’s couldn’t help but feel bad for him, given the way he was treated by his own wife.

“Thisssssss is a very uncomfortable dynamic,” one social media user commented. Another added, “Wow, that was a very, very bad moment right there.”

“I like that the interviewer gave him a moment, hard watch,” a third person commented. A fourth later wrote, “She is very rude to her husband in front of everyone.”

Alec and Hilaria are parents to Carmen, 11, Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, María, 4, and Ilaria, 2. The Baldwins, which premiered last month, follows the family’s hectic life in New York City.

“This series blends the highs and lows of family life, with the challenges and humor that come while raising a large family in the public eye,” the show’s official synopsis reads.

Alec has been seen as a controversial figure for decades. Whether you like him or not, however, it can’t really be denied that nobody should be talked to like that by their own wife. It will certainly be interesting to see if Alec and Hilaria’s marriage is able to stand the test of time!
