The country music star Jason Aldean stopped a recent concert on his Highway Desperado tour to reunite a military family.

Aldean Reunites Military Family

Aldean, 47, took to social media to post a video of the touching reunion.

“After a 10 month deployment, First Class Petty Officer Blake Darling is back home with his family!” he wrote in the caption. “Thanks to his wife Brittney for letting us be in on the surprise. Welcome home!”

During his concert, Aldean invited Darling’s two children onstage.

“I know your dad is in the military, right?” he asked them. “We thought we’d give you a little surprise today, if that’s cool with you guys. Can we do that?”

Petty Officer Darling’s family had no idea that he was backstage waiting to be reunited with them after his lengthy deployment. That’s what made it so powerful when he walked out onstage and hugged his two children, who appear to be teenagers. The kids were both speechless as they embraced their father!

Video of the emotional reunion immediately went viral. Fans were quick to praise Aldean for taking the time to bring this military family back together.

“Chills every time I see these videos- God Bless First Class Petty Officer Blake Darling and thank you for your service sir!” one fan commented, with another adding, “You are such a good human. Keep being you.”

“Man this is awesome to see,” a third user commented. “Growing up in a military town and see Jason Aldean do this. Just awesome keep making middle Georgia proud Jason!”

Aldean Loves The Military And America

Aldean has long been a strong supporter of the U.S. military. It means a lot to him, as his father and grandfather both served in the military. Aldean frequently recognizes both members of the military and first responders in his music and at his concerts.

Aldean has also long been one of the only modern performers who unapologetically loves America. Last month, he opened up about what being an American citizen means to him.

“I think being American to me just means freedom,” Aldean told Fox News. “We live in the best country in the world.”

“I mean, there’s a reason that everybody else wants to be here and wants to come here. It’s because they don’t have what we have,” he continued. “And, so, I’m still very proud of that and proud of our country, even though sometimes it gets a little sideways and a little hard to recognize sometimes.”

‘We Live In The Best Country’

Despite America’s issues, Aldean still believes that we really are the best.

“But I think we live in the best country in the world,” he gushed. “I mean, we get the chance to go and still have the American dream. You can come from nothing and build something and make something out of your life, out of yourself and change your life, your family’s life.”

“And I think we still have the ability to do that in this country, which is pretty cool,” Aldean concluded.

God bless Aldean for taking time out of his concert to reunite a military family that is sacrificing everything for our country. If only we had more patriotic celebrities like Aldean in the entertainment world!
