Alec Baldwin is reportedly struggling to film a new reality show with his family after decades of Hollywood fame.

The actor is filming the show despite just having been cleared in the fatal shooting on the set of his film Rust.

Baldwin Allegedly Struggling Filming Reality Show

Baldwin, 66, and his wife Hilaria, 40, are currently filming a reality show with their seven children for TLC. Indeed, they went into production just two weeks after the dismissal of Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter case pertaining to the fatal shooting on the set of his movie Rust.

Unfortunately for Baldwin, however, insiders are saying that the reality show isn’t going well.

“Alec thinks he’s filming a movie, not a cheap reality show,” a crew member told In Touch Weekly.

“He doesn’t seem to understand there is no script or lines for him to learn,” this source later added. “The problem with Alec is he thinks he knows best, on everything from the storylines to the camera angles to the lighting. It’s a disaster!”

Baldwin Announces Reality Show

Baldwin previously announced his new reality show The Baldwins back in June. The program is set to premiere sometime in 2025.

“We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good, the bad, the wild and the crazy,” Baldwin said in a video posted to Instagram. “Home is the place we love to be most.”

TLC then confirmed that this reality show is happening.

“Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been making headlines since they were married nearly 12 years ago,” the network said in a statement. “In this TLC follow-doc series, Alec and Hilaria invite viewers into the home they share with their seven growing kids.”

“For the first time, they’re opening up their family lives and bringing everyone in to join in the nonstop love, laughter and drama,” TLC continued.

Baldwin Gets Some Advice

Jon Gosselin, 47, who previously starred on the reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, told Fox News that he “doesn’t think it’s a good idea” for Baldwin to risk his fame and fortune just to be a reality TV star.

“My advice to Alec is to run the other way,” Gosselin said. “Enjoy your career and your family. And enjoy your life with your kids. We’re all not getting any younger.”

“I don’t think it’s a good idea to put your family on television, especially your children,” he later stated. “You’re a successful actor. You’re already scrutinized for certain things, and now you’re going to put seven children into the public eye. So pretty much you’ve already created this, this massive amount of wealth to protect your family, and now you want to make them public as well? It makes no sense.”

Baldwin’s Rust Charges Dismissed

Baldwin began filming this reality show after his involuntary manslaughter case was dismissed. He had been facing 18 months in prison over the death of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. She was killed and director Joel Souza was injured when a gun Baldwin was holding went off on the film set in October of 2021.

The case against Baldwin was later dismissed after his lawyer argued that there was misconduct by state investigators in not properly disclosing evidence. The case was also dismissed with prejudice, meaning that Baldwin cannot be charged again.

It seems that in the wake of this, Baldwin should have thought twice about embarking on filming a reality show. Only time will tell how all of this turns out for him!
