The Hollywood star Kevin Costner got testy on Thursday morning when he was repeatedly questioned about the rumored drama surrounding his exit from the hit show Yellowstone.

Costner Gets Testy Over Yellowstone Drama

Costner went on on CBS Mornings on Thursday to be interviewed about his new movie series Horizon: An American Saga. Things went off the rails when host Gayle King shifted to trying to get the star to reveal why he didn’t return to Yellowstone to finish out the fifth and final season.

Costner told King that he “loved the show before anybody.” He additionally said that he would return “in a second if I felt that it was something that I could do.”

“But the characterization of you isn’t necessarily flattering,” King replied. “You made demands, you want to have a certain schedule, you want to shoot at a certain time, you want certain money.”

“If it’s not that hard, why can’t the two of you be able to work it out? People would love to see that,” she continued. She was seemingly referring to Costner and the Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.

Costner, however, was not having any of this.

“It’s not therapy, Gayle,” Costner fired back. “We’re not going to discuss this on the show really, honestly.”

“I’m a good therapist,” King attempted to reply.

Costner was quick to once again shut her down.

“I’ve conducted my life in a pretty straightforward way,” he continued. “I’ve never missed any obligations in my entire career, so the idea is wide open for me. It just happens to be like, can I fall in love with the writing, can I fall in love with the part that wants to go forward?”
