Looks like Bray Wyatt is out of action due to a physical issue. Does this mean he’ll miss WrestleMania 39? Speaking of the flagship event, WWE continues to pitch Steve Austin matches for the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Bray Wyatt Has Physical Issue
Many raised an eyebrow when Bray Wyatt was not a part of the WWE Madison Square Garden show this past weekend. According to Fightful Select, a source notes the star is dealing with a “physical” issue.
This moment justified a lifetime of sacrifices for me. A lifetime of people treating my uniqueness like it was a disease. Through all the bad times I never changed myself to fit anyone’s narrative. I’m proud of that. Thank you Taker. #SuckItLAKnight pic.twitter.com/nQHYWNq7CL

In addition, there’s no timeline around when he’ll come back. Bray has had a budding program with Bobby Lashley, which seemed to be headed for WM 39.
Unfortunately, the report also notes that materials that are brought into Friday Night SmackDown for Uncle Howdy and Wyatt haven’t come in for the last two weeks. In fact, Bray hasn’t been a part of the last two editions of SmackDown.
Despite reports of injuries, Lashley has continued their story without Wyatt in attendance. On the March 3rd episode, “The Almighty” was attacked by Uncle Howdy but came out on top.
Bray Wyatt Hiatus Due To Physical Problem, Not A Creative Issue
Rumors have been buzzing online that Bray Wyatt’s issues stem from creative problems. As per the report, this is not the case.
These “creative issues” rumors seem to have popped up since Vince McMahon’s return to the company, and the suddenness of the Wyatt/Lashley feud. Many fans were perplexed that Brock Lesnar and Bobby’s program was dropped after the Elimination Chamber.
It’s interesting to note that Alexa Bliss, has also been offscreen since the 2023 Royal Rumble. She has seemingly been linked to Bray Wyatt’s storyline.
With that said, there’s been a buzz that she’s on hiatus. However, Bliss has refuted this.
Will Bray Wyatt make it to WM 39? Only time will tell.
Speaking of ‘Mania, it seems that WWE continues to pitch match ideas to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. More on this story, below.
WrestleMania Bout – Steve Austin
Fans were pleasantly surprised when Steve Austin closed last year’s WrestleMania, wrestling for the first time in 19 years. He ended up facing and defeating Kevin Owens.
It was an incredible bout, and the WWE is hoping to recapture that moment. In fact, according to a Fightful report, the company continues to pitch matches to Austin.
As per the report, WWE sources feel that the 58-year-old Hall of Famer is open to another bout if the money and storyline align. The company has already presented two WM 39 matches that have been rejected.
Proposed Matches For “Stone Cold” Steve Austin
The first match the WWE presented to Steve was to face Brock Lesnar, but the money wasn’t what Austin was expecting. Another proposed match for him was to face the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.
While the WWE presented SCSA with a huge offer for the Reigns match, as per reports, he never got back to them. With that said, Austin will make an appearance at the big show, he just likely will not be in a match.
Fightful is also reporting that L.A. Knight has also been pitched as a possible match for Steve Austin at ‘Mania. With that said, nothing has been confirmed.
As anyone can see from his social media accounts, Stone Cold is in incredible shape. He’s currently set to do some WWE 2K23 promotional work soon, as the video game releases this week.
