It is time for another RAW In A Nutshell, and this week’s theme is simple-it is time for a long overdue Monday Night cage fight!
As in, the cage fight we expected not all that long ago, but didn’t get due to overruns.
Silly RAW Is XXX…
But, after last week’s actions, we are indeed expected to get Bayley and Becky Lynch in a Monday night cage fight.
There’s plenty more, of course.
We have more matches to determine who goes into the men’s and women’s Elimination Chamber matches.
Plus, we expect to hear from Cody Rhodes, as we watch him set up for his WrestleMania dream match.
I think that pretty much sets the table for this week’s fun and adventures, so without any more chatter it is time for…
RAW In A Nutshell: Monday Night Cage Fight!
Let’s crack open this Nutshell and see what happens!
Best Match of the night:
Becky and Bayley was the match of the night…but it wasn’t the best segment.
The nod for the best segment goes to Cody Rhodes and Paul Heyman.
An all-timer powerful segment between Cody Rhodes & Paul Heyman tonight.

Storytelling in wresting does not always happen this good.
Like, as much as Zayn/Reigns is hot…this does not diminish that at all. It just did a ton for that anticipated WrestleMania match.
Worst match of the night:
No one is ready for Asuka now, but it seems…unwise? To have her fighting Chelsea Green now.
Not that Green is all that currently, but you bring her back and she’s already on a losing streak.
Star of the Night
Quite a few choices, I think.
Cody and Heyman take the top prize for this week.
Spot of the Night:
How about this Glam Slam…
Jobber of the Night:
Felt like Chelsea Green for me.
Holy Sh** Moment of the Night:
I have two on the evening.
First:
F-5! F-5! F-5!@BrockLesnar takes down The All Mighty @fightbobby on #WWERaw! pic.twitter.com/8DdKZPk95y

This feud is both compelling and confusing.
Compelling because I am enjoying it. Confusing because…it seems like there isn’t a clear face or heel.
Sometimes it is Bobby…sometimes it is Lesnar.
If we weren’t eying a KO/Sami team to chase down Jimmy and Jey, I would love WWE to work this one in a way that we get an unlikely, but unstoppable, tag team.
It won’t happen (probably?) but could you imagine Lesnar AND Lashley? On a team?!
And then there is this…
IT’S LITA!@AmyDumas is back on #WWERaw! pic.twitter.com/WXOij7r3D1
— WWE (@WWE) February 7, 2023
I do wonder…was this Lita bit a form of a mea culpa for the lack of legendary women on the RAW anniversary show?
Noteworthy Moment:
Once she was announced to be returning last week, this result seemed to be a foregone conclusion, but no matter what…Carmella is back, and she is in the Elimination Chamber.
What a #WWERaw return for @CarmellaWWE!!!#WWEChamber pic.twitter.com/IGooVX8Cvf

Or how about this…
I never thought we’d be here on #WWERaw talking about ECW Dusty.
But we are. And it’s amazing. pic.twitter.com/WZfgucddEP

Overall lowlights:
I don’t like Chelsea Green’s bit of a losing streak.
Overall highlights:
I was a huge ECW fan…and I completely forgot about this…

Pretty impressive bit to the story.
The way things wound up working out, WWE was going to have a tough road to get fans to focus, at least partly, on Cody.
Segments like this go a long way to fix the issues.
After the final bell:
Pretty strong RAW.
Montez Ford continues to show off as a singles competitor…which likely means the beginning of the end for New Day.
Fans have been watching for that split for a bit, so stay tuned.
All in all, lots to enjoy about this show.
