Nikkita Lyons is one of the top female stars of NXT. She’s recently had a program with Zoey Stark, but the angle has been cut short. Looks like Lyons is suffering from a legitimate injury.

Nikkita Lyons Suffering Injury

Lyons was in an interesting angle this week on NXT television, where she was attacked by someone unknown at the performance center. Nikkita hopped on Twitter after the show and tweeted the below.

According to her post, she has a torn ACL and meniscus. Looks like that segment’s goal was to write her off of NXT TV storylines for some months ahead.

Nikkita Lyons Suffering Injury – But How?

As of this writing, it’s unsure how Lyons suffered the injury in the first place. There’s also no timeline for her return.

Nikkita signed with the WWE in the summer of 2021. While her official WWE debut was on New Year’s Eve of that year on 205 LIVE, she made her NXT debut in February 2022.

She has yet to hold gold in NXT, but it’s only a matter of time, once she gets back on her feet. WNZ wishes Lyons a speedy and solid recovery.

Jay Briscoe (and his fans) finally received the tribute he deserved on this week’s AEW Dynamite. More on this story, below.

Emotional AEW Jay Briscoe Tribute

Fans are still in shock over the untimely passing of Jay Briscoe last week. He passed away on January 17th after a car collision.

While Dynamite had the opportunity to present a tribute to the superstar last week, as per reports, something very small was done because Warner Media nixed it.

When Jay was alive, he and Mark were banned from AEW programming because of homophobic social media posts sent out over a decade ago. Tweets Jay had apologized for.

The good news is that Warner Media went back on its original decision. This week on Dynamite, an emotional video package tribute was shown.

The video highlighted both Jay’s wrestling and personal life. The tribute is shown below.

Both current AEW and WWE wrestlers commented on the tribute. The video was a phenomenal reflection of Briscoe’s career and life.

Properly Honoring Jay Briscoe

In addition, Mark Briscoe, Jay’s brother, and tag team partner was also given the green light to perform on the show. This would be Mark’s official AEW Dynamite television debut.

He squared off against Jay Lethal. Both wrestlers approached Tony Khan asking to book a match where they face off, as a tribute to Jay Briscoe.

Interestingly enough, January 25th, the night Dynamite aired, would’ve been Jay’s 39th birthday. It was a beautiful way to honor an incredible talent and person.

Jay Briscoe was a two-time Ring of Honor (ROH) World Champion. He and his brother Mark, better known as the Briscoe Brothers, were 13-time ROH World Tag Titleholders and World Six-Man Tag Champions (with Bully Ray).

They also held gold while working with Impact Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. In 2015, Jay ranked number 7 in the top Pro Wrestling Illustrated 500.
