As per Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez, along with Jeff Hardy, Adam Cole is hurt. No information was given about the extent of Cole’s injury.
Adam Cole Injured – Double Or Nothing
With that said, Alvarez notes it is probably Adam’s shoulder that is having issues. He had quite the night at AEW’s Double or Nothing event.
Not only did he win the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, but he also had that incredible match against Samoa Joe. Here’s hoping he won’t be out for too long due to this injury.
Adam Cole’s been wrestling since 2008. He did the indies circuit, worked for Ring of Honor (ROH), and landed in the WWE in 2017.
During his time at NXT, he was a Triple Crown Champion, scoring the NXT title, North American Championship, and Tag Titles. He and his Undisputed Era stable mates dominated storylines.
Unfortunately, his WWE contract expired in the summer of 2021. It wouldn’t take long for the superstar to surface in AEW that September.
Regardless, here’s hoping Adam Cole doesn’t miss too much time and heals up quickly. He’s an incredible wrestler to watch in the ring and on the mic.
Moving on to another big winner at Double or Nothing, Wardlow enjoyed a major victory at the event. So what kind of “changes” does AEW have in store for this rising talent?
Changes For Wardlow
Fightful Select is reporting that AEW fans will see a change in Wardlow’s entrance. It sounds like a new theme song will debut for the superstar, shortly.
While the music is finished, there’s no official date for the debut. His previous music, “This is War”, will be replaced with this new music.
Wardlow’s AEW History
Wardlow started wrestling in 2014. He was on the indies scene for about five years before AEW signed him.
Wardlow first entered the land of AEW in 2019 during the All Out PPV. A video package teased his debut.
However, he’d officially appear on Dynamite in November of that year, by attacking Cody Rhodes. Wardlow quickly aligned himself with MJF at this point.
He had his first match with the company in February 2020. Sadly, he lost to Rhodes in his AEW debut bout.
Pulling away from MJF recently has signified that AEW may have bigger plans for this incredible talent, on his own. Only time will tell just exactly how far he’ll go.
Regardless, Wardlow continues to climb the ladder in AEW. He scored one of the biggest wins of his career this past weekend when he defeated MJF and seems to be on a path of major momentum moving forward.
