The country music star Carrie Underwood, who has been a lifelong Guns N’ Roses fan, had her dreams come true on Saturday night when she took the stage with the band’s frontman Axl Rose for a surprise duet on the second night of the California music festival Stagecoach.
I can’t even put into words how happy I am for Carrie Underwood. She may be known as a country singer but she’s like the biggest Axl Rose stan ever, she’s idolized him her entire life. This is the moment she’s always wanted and she finally got it. So deserved. pic.twitter.com/5RHfVsSEZs

‘Welcome To The Greatest Night Of My Life’
People Magazine reported that fans likely weren’t surprised when Underwood’s band began playing the opening chords of “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” as this is the type of cover she would normally do as a Guns N’ Roses super fan, but then she shocked everyone by introducing Rose.
“Welcome to the greatest night of my life,” she shouted as they began their duet.
Once “Sweet Child O’ Mine” ended, Rose stayed onstage to perform one more song with Underwood, “Paradise City,” which she has covered many times over the years. She even performed “Paradise City” when she first headlined Stagecoach back in 2009, but something tells us performing it with Rose is something she will never forget.

Back in 2020, during an appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon,” Underwood talked about meeting Rose for the first time at a Guns N’ Roses reunion show.
“It’s hard to meet your heroes because I do consider him someone who taught me how to sing,” she said at the time, according to Yahoo News. “But he was super cool and great and nice and we talked. We’re best friends.”

Underwood Preparing For Release Of New Album
Underwood is currently preparing for the release of her new album Denim & Rhinestones on June 10, and she’s teased it by letting her fans know that she will be exploring new influences with the music on it.
“We cover a lot of ground on this album,” Underwood said when she announced the album, according to Taste of Country. “We have a lot of songs that have a bit of a ‘throwback’ feel, but they sound super fresh. I grew up listening to so many different kinds of music and that is extremely evident in this body of work.”
“These are musical influences that are all in me and work their way out, and I just decided this time not to get in their way,” she added. “I think this whole album ended up being a big reflection of me as a person and as an artist.”
Perhaps one of the influences for the album was some Guns N’ Roses material. We can only hope!
