Chris Jericho Health Concerns, Backstage Update On Nash Carter Firing

It’s undeniable that Chris Jericho looks slimmer as of late on AEW. What’s the reason? The Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla recently revealed it’s due to health concerns that surfaced while on tour with Fozzy.

During his time on Busted Open Radio, Chris Jericho reveals why he’s a bit more slender these days. Jericho notes he had some health issues that popped up while in England and touring with Fozzy.

Jericho states that “things were cool”, but he needed to make some lifestyle changes. The former AEW champ goes on to reveal that he went on a strict diet to lose about 10 pounds.

Chris ended up achieving that goal within one week. It’s important to note that Jericho gained weight before heading out on his Fozzy UK tour.

While he got poked on the internet for his weight gain, Chris had the last laugh with his recent transformation. As long as he’s healthy and feeling good, nothing else matters.

Over to the land of the WWE, the release of Nash Carter has been quite controversial. His wife has thrown out some accusations as of late, but it’s hard to tell if these are legitimate.

Backstage Update On Nash Carter Firing

Carter was recently released from the WWE after allegations of domestic violence surfaced from his wife, Impact star Kimber Lee. However, the reason behind his firing was an old photo that landed on the internet of him posing as Adolf Hitler.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE’s decision around Carter was not well-received by his colleagues backstage. As Meltzer notes, people backstage genuinely liked Nash.

Dave also states that the Hitler photo was taken when Carter was 19 years old. In addition, Meltzer reveals that the WWE was aware of the entire situation before it hit the public.

In fact, Dave says that before NXT’s Stand & Deliver event, there was “stuff coming out”. He reveals that “he knows” people who said WWE was in the know, long before it hit.

Nash Carter & Wes Lee Winning The NXT Tag Titles

It’s interesting that Dave states the WWE was in the know before Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania 38 weekend. After all, he and partner Wes Lee (as MSK) ended up scoring the NXT Tag Team Championship during a triple threat match at the event.

It also seemed as if he and Lee were being primed for a major push in the company. Why would the WWE fire Carter if they knew about the photo, to begin with?

Why would they place the tag titles on him and Lee if that was the case? So many questions, so few answers.

Here’s hoping that Nash Carter is able to clear himself of this scandal if the allegations are false. He has a bright wrestler career ahead of him.

Carter began wrestling in 2015 and spent a couple of years at Impact, starting in 2018. He’d jump over to the WWE in 2020, debuting on NXT in January 2021 along with Lee.

The two have tremendous in-ring chemistry. In addition to their latest NXT title reign, they also won the championships at the 2021 Great American Bash.
