As we approached WrestleMania, fans hoped to see “the baddest woman on the planet” return…she didn’t because she is pregnant. Also, Kurt Angle makes a decision about AEW in his future.

Ronda Rousey Is Pregnant

It’s been two years since we’ve seen her in WWE, and after this major Ronda Rousey update, it is fixing to be a lot longer until she may return.

That is, if she ever wants to return.

After working the main event of WrestleMania 35, Rousey took her ball and went home. According to reports from back then, one reason the former UFC megastar wanted to try and start a family with her husband.

For the past two years since she departed, we have heard nothing about a baby for Ronda Rousey.

It was quiet enough that fans began to really expect Ronda Rousey would be returning soon. That believe only got intensified when a WWE executive implied as much, prior to WrestleMania.

With this major Ronda Rousey update, we can happily say she won’t be returning for a bit.

Rousey has just announced that she and husband Travis Browne are expecting their first child.

The former RAW Women’s Champion broke the news via a video this morning. She says she is about four months along.

Due to her worldwide, cross-platform fame, numerous major media outlets carried the news.

As she put it, “the baddest baby on the planet” is due to arrive toward the end of September.

And for those of you paying attention, given that she is four months along, there was no chance she would have worked WrestleMania. The baby news also likely was part of why she wasn’t in this year’s Rumble.

Wrestling fans did have a little fun with the news, too.

With Rousey’s announcement, that makes 2 of 3 WrestleMania 35 main event participants who have since become mothers.

We wish the expecting parents all the best!

Kurt Angle Makes Decision About AEW

We’ve seen several former WWE Superstars, including Hall of Famers, make the jump. Now, Kurt Angle makes a decision about AEW.

What is it?

He’s not going to go.

Recently, talent like Sting, The Big Show and Christian Cage have all jumped over to AEW. Kurt Angle’s decision makes it clear he won’t join them.

In an interview with HannibalTV, the Olympian revealed that AEW had contacted him. That alone isn’t really a shock, since his time with WWE came to an end last year…for now.

Angle said while he was asked, he declined. Part of his decision comes from the loyalty he feels toward WWE, especially now.

What was also of note? In the interview, Kurt Angle said he had something in the works with WWE-he just couldn’t go into details yet.

Whether that simply means some programming for the WWE Network, or an actual return of Angle as a manager? That remains to be seen.

However, his last run with the company was generally entertaining and well-received. Bringing him back in a smart role could be great.
