The world was watching Prince Harry’s dynamic with Prince William and Prince Charles during Prince Philip’s funeral. A new Daily Mail report indicates William asked their cousin to stand between him and Harry in the Duke of Edinburgh’s procession. But hopes of a royal reconciliation are still alive after Harry and William had a two hour discussion with Prince Charles following the funeral.
Royal Family Reunion Is “Frosty”
It is reported that Harry experienced “a great deal of frostiness” from his family prior to the funeral.
Princess Anne and Prince Edward reportedly chose not to acknowledge Harry at all because of what they view as his betrayal of the Queen, Prince Philip and the rest of the Royal Family during his and wife Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“As far as the others are concerned, there is a deep sense of protection towards the Queen and resentment towards Harry. There is little sympathy for him after what he and Meghan said on Oprah,” a Royal insider said.

Peter Phillips, Prince Anne’s son, was a buffer between the brothers at the procession. Sources say this was requested by William.

Charles, Harry, and William’s Two-Hour ‘Peace Talk’
Following the funeral, Harry’s brief chat with William and Kate fueled some hope.
The Daily Mail reports the brothers had two hour “peace talks” with their father, Prince Charles. Meghan Markle’s absence may have helped jumpstart the healing.
This discussion was so productive that Harry might stick around for the Queen’s 95th birthday on Wednesday.
“It’s early days but you’d hope this is exactly the first step Philip would have wished for,” a source said.
The timing of Meghan and Harry’s accusations of racism against the Royals came at a particularly painful time.
The interview aired while 99-year-old Prince Philip’s health was crashing. The family was bracing itself as the Duke was hospitalized.
Harry’s stinging media assault added to their pain.

Harry was close to his grandfather, so the insensitive timing and outrageous accusations were interpreted by many as a rebuke. His familial relations changed considerably after he married the American actress.
