Due to the nasty armbar Tony Ferguson fought through in his bout with Charles Oliveira, there had been speculation as to whether ‘El Cucuy’ could be sidelined for a while. But, it seems pretty clear that’s not going to be the case.
Ferguson announces his arm is “good as iron”
The former interim lightweight champ faced Oliveira at UFC 256 last month, and dropped a clear-cut, decision loss. Ferguson kept battling until the final horn, however, and that included him not tapping to a vicious armbar early on.
Well, since ‘El Cucuy’s’ arm appeared to be badly extended, there had been speculation about whether Ferguson’s arm incurred serious damage. But, more recently, he shared out the comments and video below.
“It’s Tiramisu Tuesday MF’s!!!” That Feeling Ya Get When The Doc Says The Arm Is As Good As Iron Ahhhhhhhh Ah Ahhhhh Ahhhh Ah # It Alright. That Type Of Guy Moment Brought To You By. Champ Sh-t Only. ThatIsAll”

Very ‘El Cucuy’.
What’s next for Ferguson?
On account of Ferguson’s consecutive losses to Oliveira and Justin Gaethje, he’s dropped to #5 in the UFC’s lightweight rankings. So, it will be interesting to see what comes next for him.
Will he agree to face someone who is not in the top five? With Gaethje expected to face Oliveira next, and Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier set to battle January 23rd, he may have no choice.
