Yesterday, we reported that Olivia Jade Giannulli, the daughter of former “Fuller House” star Lori Loughlin, gave a tell-all interview about her family’s involvement in the college admissions scandal that has landed both of her parents in prison.

Now, however, this move has backfired on Olivia, as social media users are ripping her apart for being “tone deaf.”

Interview Backfires On Loughlin’s Daughter

Olivia, who is a social media influencer, spoke with actress Jada Pinkett Smith on her Facebook talk show “Red Table Talk” to tell her side of the story.

Both her mother and her father, Mossimo Giannulli, are currently in prison on charges related to them allegedly paying $500,000 in bribe money to have Olivia and her older sister Isabella admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before.

Smith’s Mother Bashes Olivia

Olivia should have known she was in trouble right from the start of the interview. Jada Pinkett Smith’s mother Adrienne Banfield Norris, who participated in the interview as well, made no secret of the fact that she did not want Loughlin’s daughter on the show.

“I fought it tooth and nail,” Norris said in a segment just before Olivia’s interview. “I found it really ironic that she chose three Black women to reach out to for her redemption story. I feel like, here we are, a white woman coming to Black women for support when we don’t get the same from them.”

“It’s bothersome to me on so many levels. Her being here is the epitome of white privilege to me … at the end of the day, I really feel like she gonna be okay and she’s gonna recover whether her a** was sitting at this table or not,” added Norris, who Red Table Talk fans know as “Gam.”

Olivia likely wishes she’d backed out of the interview right then because many social media users ended up seeing things just like Norris did.

“Very glad she pointed out the fact that a white girl chose a talk show of three black women to try and gain redemption on,” one social media user commented

Social Media Users Slam Olivia As ‘Tone Deaf’

The majority of social media users seem to think that Olivia’s interview was “tone deaf.”

“The fact that #OliviaJade is trying to make it look like sha was clueless the whole time it’s pathetic… girl you knew right away when you took a picture of you doing rowing…” a fan commented, with another adding, “I’m 7 mins in to Olivia Jade on Red Table Talk but y’all….. Olivia describing her mom’s prison sentence as ‘a reflection period.’ wheeewwww!!! I’m buckling up.’

“My thoughts on Olivia Jade: she’s incredibly tone deaf,” wrote a third user. ‘Her parents committed a felony to get her into college. Her parents are going to ‘jail’ and she can still live her life normally. I have zero compassion for anyone involved in this situation.”

Olivia made it clear in her interview that she is desperate for a second chance. She undoubtedly would love to resume her lucrative career as a beauty influencer on social media. Judging by the reaction to Olivia’s interview, however, I doubt this will be happening anytime soon,.
