Karrion Kross Injury Update
Karrion Kross was just feeling the joy of becoming NXT champion when reality hit with an injury.
Kross suffered a serious shoulder injury and was forced to vacate the belt on a recent episode of WWE NXT.
At NXT TakeOver: XXX, Kross bested Keith Lee for the championship. However, he separated his shoulder during the match, which will send him to the sidelines for an extended period.
During an interview with ESPN, Kross stated that the injury would not keep him out for that long. He stated “I will get the professional, educated opinion on what the severity is.”
That obviously changed with vacating the belt.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio had some insight into the update and status of Kross’ immediate future.
“He had his MRI on Monday, so it sounds like he’s going to need surgery,” Meltzer said. “It sounds like he’s going to be out for a while.
“If it was something that didn’t need surgery, they wouldn’t strip him of the title. They love him as champion. He’s their chosen one.”
Meltzer added that “if it was like two months, they could work around it.” No time frame for a potential return was given by the WWE.

The 35-year-old Kross made his pro wrestling debut in 2006 and signed with the WWE earlier this year. He quickly rose through the ranks and challenged Lee for the title earlier this month.
NXT will crown a new champion with a four-way 60-minute Iron Man match next week between Finn Balor, Adam Cole, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

Sonya Deville Continues To Be Threatened
Sonya Deville continues to receive threats even after her attempted kidnapping recently.
Authorities arrested Phillip A. Thomas II for attempting to kidnap Deville from her home.
Deville asked that evidence in the case against Thomas be sealed to avoid showing her home address and other characteristics of her residence. A Hillsborough County Circuit Course heard her request and granted it in course.
Thank you everyone for your love and concern. A very frightening experience but thankfully everyone is safe. A special thank you to Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for their response and assistance. 🖤

In the filing, Deville and her ex-girlfriend, Ariana Johnson, are both considered “victim or witness at risk of harm” in the case. Thomas also threatened Johnson over the relationship between the two.
Deville has also received other threats from individuals besides Thomas. One stated “I’ll finish the job that Phillip started” and also stated, “My knife is sharper than Phillips.”
The attorney for Thomas has pushed for bail, but was denied due to the threat he poses to the safety of the community. That came after testimony from Deville.
Thomas is held in the Hillsborough County Jail with charges including aggravated stalking, armed burglary of a dwelling, armed kidnapping for ransom, reward or hostage and criminal mischief for less than $200.
Deville dropped a “Loser Leaves WWE” match to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam this past weekend. That allows her to have time off from the promotion to recover from the incident and sort out the legal matters.
…. goodbye
