– While not confirmed by WWE, Kurt Angle is scheduled for Monday’s RAW from Philadelphia according to PWInsider. Last week, Angle returned to TV after being sent on a forced vacation by Stephanie McMahon. While away, Stephanie named Baron Corbin as the acting General Manager.
In an attempt to earn a spot in the World Cup Tournament for Crown Jewel, Corbin created a mini battle royal that featured unknown names. After seemingly winning the contest, officials noted to Corbin that The Conquistador was not thrown over the top rope. The match continued and The Conquistador started hitting several familiar moves before tossing Corbin to win the match. After the bell, The Conquistador took off his mask to reveal it was Angle.
There has been speculation that Angle is trying to return inside the ring on a full-time basis. A possible Survivor Series elimination match would see Angle and Corbin each captain a team. Whoever wins, would then become the permanent RAW General Manager.
It appears that Angle will again be a regular on TV starting on Monday night. No word if WWE will let Angle wrestle a full-time schedule or have him work select matches like he has done since the Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay per view back in October of last year.
