Flooding from the Ohio River is causing significant problems in the surrounding areas. The area around the Ohio River has experienced so much rainfall that the river has reached its limit. The river crested at 60.53 inches on Sunday night. But, this hasn’t stopped some people from trying to go about their day and normal activities.
Most people realize that a vehicle is not a boat. It is limited by water. In situations like this, people like to push their limits – or perhaps they are just dumb. No matter how tough you think your SUV is, it’s not going to make it through high levels of water. It is not a yacht.
One Cincinnati driver thought his truck was indestructible. He began driving it right through the rather high waters. Of course, his vehicle was no match for all that water, and his truck was quickly submerged. In a short time, he was forced to escape his truck and take the swim of shame through the cold water to somewhere safer.
You can watch him make this incredibly expensive mistake in the video below.
You can’t drive through waters that high! This man sacrificed his car because of his stupidity!
The Cincinnati and Lousiville, Kentucky areas have been hit rather hard by this flooding. Downtown Cincinnati is experiencing the worst flooding it has had since 1997. As you can see in the tweeted video below, even Paul Brown Stadium has flooded.

You’ll notice that nobody is attempting to drive their cars through that mess. There is a simple reason for this – because you can’t! You have to respect the laws of nature, and the power of water. It doesn’t matter how much horsepower you have in your truck, it is not made for sailing!
