Near, far, wherever you are, we’ll be watching you, Celine Dion.

Okay, maybe that sounded a bit creepy, but let me explain. Her film – I Am: Celine Dion – is now the most popular documentary in Prime Video history. Everybody is watching it.

This, according to Deadline.

The documentary chronicles the legendary singer’s struggle with a condition known as Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS), and her efforts to continue a normal life and career.

SPS is a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms. Her suffering in the film is, at times, excruciating to watch.

Celine Dion’s Documentary Is Boosting Her Music Sales Too

The outlet also reports that the popularity of the documentary is helping to boost Celine’s music sales.

“Since the documentary’s release on June 25, Dion’s catalog streams are up +33% worldwide,” they reveal.

Dion has sold over 200 million records worldwide and won 5 Grammy Awards, having been nominated an incredible 16 times.

But, as I Am: Celine Dion reveals, the neurological disorder she is battling makes it very difficult for her to sing any longer.

At one point in the documentary, she cries after trying to belt out the incredibly rich and powerful vocals she is accustomed to delivering to her fans.

Call It A Comeback

News of the documentary’s popularity comes amidst a whirlwind of positive news seemingly pointing to a comeback for Celine Dion.

Dion has been spotted in Paris and will reportedly perform a duet with Lady Gaga during the opening ceremonies of the Summer Olympics.

The two are prepared to perform Édith Piaf’s classic “La Vie en Rose.”

Reports indicate Dion will net $2 million for the one song. That’s how in demand she is years after being on the stage.

In addition to that, Celine is reportedly in the final stages of signing a new residency deal with Resorts World in Las Vegas.

Dion has insisted all along that she would find a way to make it back to her fans. Even if she has to “crawl.”

That right there, is the power of love.
