Chris Pratt Welcomes Second Daughter With Wife Katherine Schwarzenegger

The Hollywood star Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger welcomed their second daughter on Saturday, taking to Instagram to share the news.

‘Beyond Blessed And Grateful’

“We are so excited to announce the birth of our second daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt. Mama and baby are doing well,” the couple announced on social media. “We feel beyond blessed and grateful. Love, Katherine and Chris.”

Daily Mail reported that Pratt. 42, and Schwarzenegger, 32, are already parents to their 21 month-old daughter Lyla Maria. Pratt is also dad to a 9 year-old son Jack, who he shares with his ex-wife, the actress Anna Faris.

Pratt Would ‘Love’ To Have More Children

Pratt said last summer that he would “love” to have more children, and that he’s willing to have “as many [kids] as the man upstairs will provide.”

“We’ll do it,” Pratt said. “I’ll probably have to talk to Katherine about that but my plan is, let’s go.”

A source told People Magazine back in December that Pratt and Schwarzenegger were “ecstatic” to be expecting another child. 

“They always hoped for Lyla to have another sibling. They feel very blessed,” the insider said, adding that Schwarzenegger “loves being a mom.”

“Lyla is her world,” the source explained. “She has help, but is also very hands-on.”

Schwarzenegger Feels ‘Blessed’ To Be A Mom 

Back in December, Schwarzenegger opened up about the “blessed” experience of being a mom.

“I’ve always wanted to be a mom and I have always really looked forward to this time in my life and been really excited about it,” she said at the time.

“And I feel really just so blessed to be able to experience it and also experience it with my husband, and she’s just the best,” she continued. 

Schwarzenegger recently talked to Entertainment Tonight about Lyla’s bond with her family. 

“It’s just such a great experience for me and really exciting as well to be able to see my whole family around my daughter,” she said. 

Schwarnegger’s Own Childhood 

While Schwarzenegger was raised by famous parents Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, she’s said that her childhood was private and normal. 

“I think one of the greatest gifts that my parents ever gave me and my siblings is the gift of privacy and having a really normal upbringing, or as normal of an upbringing as possible,” Schwarzenegger said while appearing on “Today.” 

“We had a really normal and magical childhood, and we were allowed to kind of be our own people and have our own identity and kind of choose to step into whatever form of being public we wanted to when we felt comfortable,” she added. 

We would like to congratulate Pratt and Schwarzenegger on the birth of their little girl. Eloise is definitely one lucky girl to have parents like them!
